Roger Federer lost to Novak Djokovic 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (5) Friday in the Australian Open semifinals, leaving the top-ranked Swiss one match short of making an 11th consecutive Grand Slam final. Even if Djokovic won three seets over Federer, the match was pretty close with a lot of breaks coming in Djokovic's way.

It's been a while since I got caught up in a tennis match. And this has been an exciting one, considering how the two answered each other with brilliant returns deep into the corners of the baseline, hard-smashing serves and even harder, more angled returns. Surprisingly, the 20-year old Djokovic seemed to be in control of his nerves, and took shots more confidently than his opponent.

It was the audience that appeared more tense. They were there on the background: cheering, jeering, hissing, booing and making every imaginable noise as the game progressed.

Anyway, here's match point, complete with Djokovic ruining the moment by taking his shirt off:

Djokovic will now play unseeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Sunday, setting up one unlikely title match. The women settle their championship Saturday when Maria Sharapova faces Djokovic's compatriot Ana Ivanovic.
